MOBILE CABINETS 1000/2000
Ironwood builds the best mobile storage cabinet in the industry. These handsome, rugged cabinets are available in a multitude of configurations to accommodate any mobile storage need. A choice of several durable melamine finishes is standard. For a small upcharge, high pressure laminates which are even tougher and offer hundreds of color choices are also an option. All units are equipped with 5" casters with a 300 lb. load rating and drawers are installed with steel roller bearing glides. Cabinets come with or without doors. Locking doors can be keyed separately with a master key or keyed alike.
Unitized Steel Frame—1000 Series
The unitized frame has four tubular steel uprights welded to a top and bottom frame. This frame provides great rigidity and resists "wracking" that may occur when moving the unit across uneven surfaces. The standard 1000 Series cabinet is 48" wide and 22" deep. Some specialty cabinets, such as the Science or Home Economics demonstration mobiles are 60" wide and the Video Center is 32" wide. Stacking drawer units are available at 22" or 28" deep.
2000 Series
When the environment for mobile storage does not demand the rugged specs of the 1000 or 4000 Series, the 2000 Series cabinet is an affordable alternative. The 2000 Series is essentially the 1000 Series without the unitized steel frame—top and bottom frames are independent.
